What a dull morning today. The sun is hiding behind thick clouds and it’s chilly. Not really what you’d expect on the first of July. At least the birds are chirping and keeping me alive. There are some pretty nice chirps out there. Unfortunately I can’t tell who’s singing so nicely. Except the blackbird I don’t know any of them. Maybe an idea for a future activity with the kids: get to know all the birds in the garden and how they chant. I’m sure they would love it. Binoculars, recorder (maybe the mobile could do), wikipedia and we would be good to go. I’ll keep you posted once we try it…
Anyway back to my dull morning mood. This is a morning when I need an energy booster to get me started. One that would instantly fill me up. On our shopping tour yesterday we bought bananas and pears. So let’s mix them up and do a healthy smoothie.
HOW TO MAKE THIS PEAR SMOOTHIE
The ingredients are as basic as it gets for this healthy pear smoothie:
- pears
- frozen banana (or not frozen, just add more ice in case)
- cardamom (optional)
- cinnamon
- milk ( any kind will work, preferably almond milk)
- vanilla protein powder or simply vanilla flavoured powder
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until thick and smooth.
